“Katie Lees is an emerging performance artist and actor studying Creative Arts in Performance at the University of Wollongong, NSW. Katie’s practice is influenced by themes regarding the body and space, aiming to explore the infinite narratives which can be portrayed through the actions of a physical being. By incorporating body, space, imagery and text, Katie’s performance ‘ A Voyeur’s Answer’ on the opening night of Qualia, will expose secrets ordinarily confined to her subconscious through spontaneous expressions; creating an environment of disclosure. Challenging the audience’s curiosity and inner voyeur, the performance will invite passers-by to take a look into a subjective world created within a white cube embodying the mind.
